Johannesburg: Chaos - Strikes - Police fire at strikers

[I did not even hear the shooting in central Johannesburg today. I was too busy working - and inside our office building you can only hear noises like sirens.

So I was quite surprised when I went home to find the streets filled with rubbish everywhere. Ghandi square, where the bus terminus is, was a mass of garbage.

In the past, strikers have overturned dustbins spitefully and littered the streets.

Apparently the same thing happened today. On TV this evening they showed the Police had been running around shooting in the Johannesburg CBD - and they had arrested about 40 strikers.

What a mess.

But then again - that's what the Blacks bring with their Marxism - destruction. They know how to break things. They break what we Whites built. But, amazingly, they break even their own things.

I cannot see how these Blacks can continue surviving indefinitely in Africa with this attitude. They are setting themselves up for future conquest. Jan]
