THE COLLAPSE OF SOUTH AFRICA

When the Western world, with the connivance of ex-President FW de Klerk and his National Party, finally forced an ANC-model government on the citizens of South Africa, a massive chain-reaction was set in place, a reaction which has steadily eroded the reputation of South Africa as a once-stable country in a violent Africa. Despite all the problems that came with an apartheid government, South Africa was still relatively calm and peaceful. Now, it has erupted into chaos.

Prior to 1994’s general election, African-style, the civilized western world was suffering from a guilt-ridden conscience and needed a country or a people to project their insecurities onto. That arrow was nocked and aimed towards South Africa and its minority white population. Indeed, it had been pointing in that direction for several years prior to 1994.

When de Klerk and his ministers, with the West’s encouragement, surrendered power to a rag-tag Marxist-inspired terrorist group, he achieved what all of South Africa’s military enemies could never have achieved — the destruction of a once-powerful and once-proud South African Defence Force (SADF). It has been replaced with a “new” force, known as the South African National Defence Force, a force that has worked hard to destroy any semblance of a defence force. Instead, it has become a clone of the ANC’s rag-tag band of terrorists, unable to maintain discipline, unable to execute effective military operations and a force tainted with crime, prostitution, drugs, AIDS, murder, drunken orgies, rape and more.

With the dismantling of the SADF by the ANC came the demise of the South African Police (SAP), once South Africa’s “thin blue line” in the fight against crime. In its stead has come a fat blue line, staffed by overweight, illiterate and ill-trained “policemen” now known as the South African Police Service, a force unable to render a service for much of the time. Indeed, it has become the best police force money can buy – from a criminal point-of-view. The “new” SAPS has proved beyond any doubt that it is not to be trusted, nor does it have the fight against crime at heart. Instead, it too has a large number of members in its ranks that moonlight as criminals. If the case of its commissioner, Jackie Selebi doesn’t beg answers, then nothing ever will.

Unable to defend and police itself, worse was to follow.

The power supply utility, ESKOM, has, through its policy of Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) and Affirmative Action (AA), effectively destroyed itself. No longer concerned with maintenance, upgrading, effective work ethics and the like, it has become obsessed with how much profit it can generate for as little input as possible. This will in turn lead to a downward trend in investor confidence, industry, mining, manufacturing, tourism and more. Small business units can no longer function effectively and will soon be faced with closing down or suffer bankruptcy. Larger companies are facing massive financial losses yet there seems to be an attitude of “we couldn’t care less” by government and ESKOM. Yet, an industrial meltdown is of no apparent concern to the ANC and its fellow travelers.

The standard of education has plummeted in recent years. No longer is a South African qualification internationally sought-after. It is now somewhat of a joke. Many matriculants cannot read or write but it is politically correct to advance them to the next grade, regardless of their results. Passing through grades and indeed universities is becoming easier by the day.

Our hospitals are in a state of decay. Our infrastructure, carefully planned and built up over years, is crumbling. Unemployment is on the rise. Our water utilities are rapidly approaching collapse. The tourist industry is in disarray. Businesses can no longer run on “real” time due to failing traffic lights – instead we all have to work on “African” time. Major operations need to be rescheduled. Planned business dinners can no longer be planned. Telephone and internet disruptions are causing businesses massive financial losses. Sewage systems are collapsing. South Africa has reached a state of near implosion.

Yet, South Africa measures success by having one of the highest crime rates in the world. South Africa measures success by having an extraordinary high AIDS population. South Africa measures success by having the least educated president-to be with the most wives and children than any other country in the world. Success is also measured by how rapidly the currency devaluates, how poor our national teams perform when they are all black. Success is also measured in terms of how corrupt government officials can be and how the unnecessary purchase of obsolete weapons systems has enriched a few.

However, for some strange reason, the West still sees South Africa as another “showcase” of African democracy — destined to follow the road of Zimbabwe and Kenya. People within South Africa view the so-called bloodless move to power by the ANC in 1994 as a “miracle”. Ironically, the continued assault on white farmers, businessmen and normal citizens proves that the ANC merely changed its tactics from traditional terrorism to all-out criminal terrorism.

The infrastructure meltdown since the ANC took power has been alarmingly dramatic, yet its leaders remain in a state of denial.

When Jacob Zuma was voted into the presidency of the ANC, it was not because of what he stood for. Indeed, he stood - and still stands - for nothing, except against Mbeki. The joy at witnessing the Mbeki-dictatorship being replaced by a Zuma-anarchy was indeed astounding. Nepotism has been replaced by criminalism, all firmly entrenched under the guise of BEE, AA and “liberation politics” – and the dismantling of the Scorpions. Those who do not toe the party line will be dealt with, regardless of color or creed.

Billions of Rands are being wiped off the Stock Exchange, yet this apparently is no cause for concern. The fact that foreign investors are getting jittery and withdrawing much-needed foreign capital is ascribed to “racism”. People who express concern are being branded as “traitors to South Africa”. It is, indeed, becoming a one-party state in the truest sense of the word, with a currency in rapid free-fall. African diplomats who have lived through their own countries “freedom” stand agog, unable to comprehend how the ANC did not learn from their own bitter lessons – whatever is destroyed will require building up at a later date and at massive cost.

The carefully engineered collapse of South Africa by the West and the internal destruction of the country’s infrastructure - along with its economy - by the ANC has created a situation criminals can only dream about. Criminal gangs from Nigeria, Russia, Israel, China and elsewhere are welcomed with open arms. Their methods of redistributing wealth and claiming themselves as the beneficiaries have become the standard by which we are supposed to live.

The collapse of South Africa started a long time ago. The smokescreen and lies created by the National Party of old, misled the very citizens it was claiming to protect. Their actions were not something engineered by the Russians and the Chinese. Whereas the Russians and the Chinese had wanted – and still want – control over South Africa’s resources, even they cannot believe the level of destruction and bestiality with which the ANC and its friends have taken control. Indeed, had they won the battle for South Africa, they would have wanted to keep the first-world infrastructure intact, and not destroy it, in order to maintain their enforced policies.

Law abiding South Africans are now faced with new visa requirements when traveling abroad because our government has decided to support fanatical terrorists. Indeed, many international terrorists are hiding in South Africa – with government protection, either directly or indirectly. South Africa now openly supports dictatorial regimes and Islamic fundamentalism.

The collapse of South Africa started several years ago. The rapid decline into chaos has transformed a once-stable country into a banana republic. Yet, the collapse of South Africa is deemed “progress”.

Full marks for the Centurian for his brilliant insight regarding the true situation in South Africa. Although I don't like discussing relegion from a public platform, it is necessary that I point out that the total onslaught on white South Africans has also spilled over to their relegious beliefs. A document which was drafted in an atmosphere of hatred has now been adopted as a creed by the Dutch Reformed Church. And all of this because of pressure from the World Council of Churches and the South African Council of Churches. The document I refer to is the infamous Creed of Belhar. Without proper consultation with its members, the leaders of the Dutch Reformed Church have capitulated. This was. however, a long time coming. Even though none of the leaders of the Black and Coulored Church would admit it, it is very clear that one of the reasons to take over the dominant White Church is to get their dirty paws on the assests of the Dutch Reformed Church. They feel it is their right to lay claim on assets and finances to which none of them have contributed anything. It is also a way to break the spirit of white Afrikaners. People laughed when previous leaders like Dr Verwoerd warned against the total onslaught against white Afrikaners in South Africa but it has now become a reality. The last bastion of freedom for white South Africans has fallen prey to the dark forces of evil.

Hi readers. I just want to make a comment directed especially to those of you who believe that this New World Order and Illuminati and all that stuff is bulldust and just stupid crazy conspiracy.
I will say 2 things to you:

1) You have no idea how ignorant you are, trust me on that.
2) The most recent meeting of the Bilderberg group took place in Greece and finished yesterday, 16th of May 2009. We don't hear of it over the news because it is top secret what they discuss. Google Bilderberg.

Of course there are conspiracy theories which are untrue and just outright crazy, but before you label the NWO in this category, EDUCATE yourself. You have no clue how deep the rabbit hole goes, and the twists and turns it makes.

The Western Cape will never fall under ANC control, or at least it will always be under the control of the Elite. And don't think for one moment that it is the ANC who has the most power and control and influence in SA. Again, it is the Elite.

You guys should start educating yourselves and do some research and stop being sheople (sheep + people =)

Everything I have read on the African crisis proves why the original concepts of the Apartheid system started. Irrespective of whether it is or was Black on Black [different tribes]or Black on White or White on Black or White on White [ethnic or cultural groups against each other].Why the forefathers of all of us implemented such systems were partially due to ignorance,bias and total lack of communication besides lack of tolerance,greed and a host of other reasons especially the consequences and it still seems that nothing has been learned.Even with today's technology for communication potential it seems the divisions are greater.I guess we can only pray for enlightenment.

I once had a conversation with a black big-wig from MTN on a plane flight. We spoke about the difference between races ... he asked me if blacks could ever make good engineers. I spoke about the average intelligence, deviations from the mean, exception rather than rule, etc. Also mentioned the lack of black engineers in equal-opportunity society, their failings in maths and science, but as an afterthought - there was a lot that I didn't mention because it didn't occur at the time. Black people are part of the indigenous races of the earth and should be treated with respect! By that I mean, they should not be influenced the way they have been by white society. Other indigenous races throughout the earth have demonstrated how, when their fragile way of life is disrupted - they explode in numbers, become ill, are subject to poverty, become socially imbalanced and turn to crime and violence. This was the view of the organisations trying to preserve indigenous lifestyles and used to repeal laws in Brazil forcing indigenous tribes into the general populous.

After billions of years of evolution, indigenous people, in their indigenous space are hunter-gatherers, have not invented the wheel yet, are balanced in numbers by the environment and live in peace and harmony with nature (in their original cultures). Furthermore, they have not invented writing, information being passed on from generation to generation via the "wise men"/witchdoctors/priests/etc. Built into their psyche, their "natural instincts", their traditional beliefs, their first and natural reactions, their common sense are embedded corporeal intelligence synonymous with their heritage and tuned into their basic reasoning, fight-or flight tendencies and whole philosophical system is the indigenous principles.

Obviously there will be disagreement, but the unshakable truths are there, no matter whether I have stated them correctly or not - there are those that gravitate towards an engineered environment and those who gravitate towards the opposite. In my mind this is the real distinction between black and white and what we are experiencing is those two worlds colliding and in such a short space of time - no evolution has occurred.

As for solutions, there are none - things will work towards an inevitable conclusion and then a massive chain-reaction will follow, which will either create a new, more uniform environment or will seperate the ingredients - as oil and water always do. There's only one thing that is certain - something is going to break in order for that chain re-action to occur.

I can deal with being accused of henious crimes committed in the name of my skin colour, pay extra taxes, battle to get work etc, but the crime and corruption reek. While the stench of it permeates all countries to an extent, I's rather live in one where it is a periodic odour and there is a REAL attempt to rid us of it.

While there are often huge differences between people and groups, the biological explanation is highly improbable to say the least. 400 years ago the Scots were famous for their alcoholism; this was a well deserved reputation. After a cultural change from 1800 to 1880, Scottish alcohol consumption declined and became the British average. There is still assumed to be higher alcoholism and consumption in Scotland than the rest of England while that is (documented by medical studies) no longer the case. Was the previous alcoholism a biological phenomenon?

Yes and no. There is a biological predisposition to addiction that is inheritable but predisposition is not destiny. With free will, there is always a choice to be made.

Greeks are famous for their skills in shipping, is that biological or simply the result of geographical factors that make knowledge of the sea vital to survival and get passed down in their culture? The latter seems more probable.

American blacks are renown for their addictions, high rates of crime, unemployment, and obnoxious culture. This is (from experience living in the unofficially segregated black part of town) a very well deserved reputation. These problems mostly seem to flow from:

Laziness (condoned and encouraged by the welfare state)
This leads to the accusations of racial treason towards anyone who dares to dissent by working hard at an honest job, marries the mother of his children before having sex, and who tries to get a decent education. This attitude is only encouraged by the assumptions and policies of the state leading to horrendous suffering for the supposed objects of care.

Alienation from “White” culture (encouraged by both black and national leaders in all walks of society)
The incredible aversion that many blacks have towards “White” culture is irrational and probably based on their own sense of inferiority in that regard. The result is no more rational. Education is derided as “cultural genocide”, law enforcement because it is a reminder that men are not angels, History is derided as ethnocentric, and myriad more curses of stupidity.

Is the stupidity and incompetence of American blacks biological? Perhaps but we are nowhere near to being able to monitor it yet. The cultural factors are incredible force multipliers. The cultural expectations placed on someone can drive them to greatness of hold them in despair. It is worth noting that blacks 60 years ago were better educated (in quality, not number of degrees), more law abiding, married more often, and harder working that they are now. Their culture changed. According to the US Census, the black population is around 14%.

It is cultural expectations and development that sets the standards for people. Unlike my American white peers, I was raised from a young age in harsh conditions, schooled with some of the finest minds of Romania with whom I was expected to compete, without television I was left to read and talk to the old men around me. At 5 I was expected to build my memory by memorizing the Pi number to several digits. With those experiences to build my ambition, education drive, hardiness, and judgment, it is unsurprising that Americans provide little challenge.

Now contrast that with my brother, raised in a different part of Romania. He dropped out of 4th grade, smoked, drank, fought and had completely different expectations about life. It was only when he now had take care of the fishing nets and a wife that he began to grow up. It is not from lack of innate intelligence that he was living in a mud brick house, he could build an irrigation system out of a washing machine engine. The problem was a lack of ambition and a different cultural outlook by being raised differently.

Is that difference racial?

Political correctness is a different matter that only aggravates the current unproductive cultures.

What a brilliant article and in my opinion on the money ,i have long said that South Africa is going to end up an exact "carbon copy" of Zimbabwe and todate it is following the same steps that Zimbabwe followed ,it may take a while longer to end up like the Zimbabwe of today, because there is more for them to destroy, but the final result will be the same.

I am dismayed at some of the comments and I wish to refer to as accurate as possible historically personally confirmable living thoughts.As an Afrikaner I left S.A. concerned that Apartheid was an incorrect Political tool to manage different racial groups within a country. The first Time I ever voted as a citizen was at the South African Embassy in Munich for change in S.A. which I believed was the guide which President De Klerk and the Nationalist party used to change the leadership. Being an optimist, completely out of touch with human nature at that time I returned to S.A. in 1993 to hope to live in a society where I never to have to defend myself in an Apartheid discussion again.I believed in the possibility of the Country being able to become a World Class Country proud to promote all levels of society and for geniune friendships and team work amongst all citizens.I admit I left,I lived there until end 2006 and had to leave as the reality had become exactly as described in the Article.I have lived in NE China for a year and I must be honest in that the Chinese people are living as close to that model that I had hoped for in S.A. now.I am still trying to figure out the so called 'spectre's of the old style Communism which no longer exists here or even as refered to in some of the negative comments about the Jewish faith which is another unnecessary taking our eyes off the ball side show by some people.I know I was indoctrinated into fighting in Angola against the 'enemy' and had numerous friends fall around me against what ever that cause was supposed to be but only realise now what that threat was and has become in S.A. when I read this article now nearly thirty years later.Had I known then what I know today and even having personally gonged the Hiroshima bell declaring an antiwar promise against all wars and aggression,I think I may chosen to have become one of those most hated of S.A.D.F. Military persons who knew then what I now only realise as virtually every body I personaly know has been a victim in some crime incident in S.A. Now I don't have or have to carry a fire arm to defend my self daily and most likely terminate some criminal and sink to such an inhuman ignorant creatures behaviour.I still love S.A. but cannot respect the majority of low level people who are ruining it and since the ANC has this 50 year plan to rid S.A. of whites and run S.A. like another African Country I wonder what options those left there have now. Since the whites have been disarmed and all indications are following the Zimbwabwe model and the Apartheid/NAZI style removal of rights of whites, I am extremely concerned for all people trying to attain a higher level of human existance in S.A.I left and I apologise to all those South Africans of what ever race who are bearing the brunt of the brutal aggression now.January 22,2008 in China Daily, there was the first article I noticed where tough law enforcement was commented on as 'Brutal Law enforcement will face a dead end and only reasonable law enforcement will be welcomed by the People'. I imagine that in the past there where serious violations of Human Rights in enforcing laws in China hence the reputation.I become concerned that here too, that the criminal will take advantage of those that want to be more Humane.Without serious negative consequences to bad behaviour in any society I smell the vile stench of human weakness in enforcing societies rules and then the eventual anarchy such as in S.A. being witnessed now.I am afraid that in the Human context, only tough law enforcement will realise order again in any country.I failed to crush the onslaught then and do what should have been done 30 years ago and even 'Bush' may be right now doing what should be done in the Mid East,what a tradegy.Horrible personal thoughts or what?

Jan, you bend over backwards to avoid infering that the Blacks are responsible for the problems. It might be correct, but it's laughable.
In our oh-so-correct world, you can only make racist remarks if they're positive or unimpeachable. If I say that the Irish are a bunch of drunks,,, that's racist. If I say that the Irish consume 5 times the per-capita alcohol consumption of the rest of europe,,, that passes.
Heaven forbid that I should mention that the US prison population is 80% black while the general pop is 7% black. I also show bad taste mentioning that 72% of all crime commited in London is commited by blacks under the age of 24.
Heaven forbid that I mention that the violent crime rate in Atlanta is 5 times the rate in Cairo or Mumbai which have equivalent poverty.

This seems to point to a lack of self-control,,, instinctive reaction. There are other reports but it is verbotten to publish this stuff in mainstream media.

However, the country of my birth is no different(or I should speak of genocides in the desert) from any other of this paradigm, on this speck of dust spinning on crust.

My country kills, always has. I am Native to the Americas, they have wiped us from the Earth, much like the Olmecs of South America who where hardly known about, except by the Native people. Then the last say 130 years, the US has spilled much blood then.

The actions of our two governments in ways are from the same very spirit in which we both detest. Unfair, immoral, unjustified, arrogant, etc....

There is one difference however. The only one using the racial difference as the crux of their arguments is you, playing devils advocate for your own veils' reinforcement over true perception....

List is correct as to the role of demography. There could also have been a more humane treatment of "minorities" without the risk of losing a civilized government that in the long run would have reduced tensions.

Western and SA observers probably (and rightly) feared a civil war over who would hold which parcel of territory if there would be a partition. India, Israel, Northern Ireland are not places that strke the mind as peaceable. The world is about to learn that it can be better than some unitary states for all partition's problems.

Jan you're far to paranoid. I have lived in SA before and after apartheid. The truth be told, SA is today far better off than it was in 1988 for the nation as a whole. I do however miss the warmth the nation once had that was lost to the world's influence. As far as SA's affiliation with dictators and despots, if that were true, the country would have long ago went the way of Zim. A lot of what the ANC gives the media is propaganda to give the millions of people living in poverty something to hope for and is not based in any reality of the real world. South Africa is far better off today than years past and is getting better all the time. Look at the Rand compared to the dollar... it just keeps doing better every year for the past 8.

1.S.African resourses are controled mostly by Western and domestic big business (including now ANC nouveau riches). Chinese penetration is not so big and the Russian one is close to zero.

2.White rule was destroyed by demography. If White population will be at least 30% like in 1950s -it will be First world country even without apartheid.

3.1994 was a deal between the West and ANC.
The most strange part of that deal is the absence of guarantees. Why SA was not transformed at least into ethnic federation where each minority has its homeland, the right of veto in upper house of parliament and the right of secession?

Whilst I agree that it was the National Party of the De Klerk era that sold South Africa out, one must not overlook the Jewish contribution to this sell-out. I made a comment in this regard to another posting on AC, but perhaps I was a bit harsh and I noticed my comment was not posted. No offence taken but it was my comment on the posting of 'South African Jewish community FURIOUS' about the death of one of their Dads whilst waiting to collect his son from school.
